what would cause the problem he is having, etc etc etc. And there were at least a dozen lengthy emails I sent to him explaining everything and how the problems he is experiencing isn't because of the tranny. He is probably telling these people who are working on it that someone rebuilt it for him and they are using that as the reasons for the problem. That trans was mint! I rebuilt it BEFORE I even planned to sell it as a backup tranny. But I got a little low on cash and needed to proceed and sold it for $750, completely rebuilt. I put several hundred alone in bearings, syncros and seals. I even had the casings cleaned. It was mint. Im just sorry that everyone here is having to see all of this. It doesn't do the forum any good and nothing for my reputation. I assure all of you though, that tranny was rebuilt to the 't' from the service manual specifications. : the clutch and flywheel is going bad it doesn't have anything to do with the tranny internals. You are supposed to break in a new clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate for at least 500 miles or so before you start beating on it, racing on it, etc. Hopefully, we won't have to hear stuff like this on TT.net. Hopefully, things can be taken care of on a one-on-one basis. Something like this can tarnish someone's reputation. my $.02
