Puerto Rico PRO Z car was there but not racing. Dunno if it was broke. But it didn't make the last qualifying round this morning. And they weren't in the show. Seems like they're having some trouble with their new twin turbo setup. Mike from PA in his red stage III TT was able to run a 13.4 @ 106 w/ a 2.1 60' in the 2nd time runs. He lost in the 1st round of bracket elims and left early. He just got that car not too long ago and he's still learning how to launch. As for me, I trailered the TT just incase I broke anything. I made 2 time runs: 12.42 @ 115, 12.43 @ 114. Lined up against an 11 sec Supra in the 1st round of bracket elims. But he couldn't catch me. I lifedt at the 1000 ft mark and took an easy win. But the 2nd round was not so easy. Another 11 sec opponent. I launch, he launches and catches me and we're side by side the whole way. But I end up losing by a 1/100th of a sec. Oh well... But check this out, I'm on the return road and the ESPN2 crew is hanging out half way down. And then a guy flags me down to stop. I recongize him. It's the freakin EPSN2 host guy. You know, the younger taller dude that does all the import racing shows. Well, I stop and here's our little conversation: him: "You wanna sell me this car right now?" me: "Sorry, I can't. I just can't. No way!" him: "I'm serious, I'll buy it right how." me: "Sorry, I can't..." him: "Do you know anyone selling one?" me: "No, sorry." him: nods. me: "But are you serious, you wanna buy this car?" him: "Yeah, I wrecked my car last week. And I want a high performance import car. It's either gonna be a Supra or this car. And I need one now!" me: "Sorry again, man..." I drive off to pick up my losing time slip. But again, I don't care what he would have offered. There's no freakin way I selling this baby right now! That's 3 offers now this year at the track and counting... :-)
