Message	Usually a coatings flakes off because it expands and contracts at a different rate than the material it is supposed to be sticking to. So the bond will break and it'll come off. I don't know about this jet hot stuff specifically, so I don't know what its rate of expansion is. But for almost everything else (like aluminized exhaust components) it eventually comes off.
