they worked nice for a daily driver/occasional track event pad. Now I have Nissan pads I use on the street (they came with the car) and I'm going to use Hawk Blue pads for the fronts at the track only. These pads are too harsh when cool or cold and need to be above 500F in order to be fully functional. I think Nismoparts.com has a good price on them (the competition pads), almost a $100 less for just the fronts than other race places! The KVRs I've heard are decent pads, a lot like the Metal Masters (MM). But the MM have a hard time after track events. The R4-s pads hold up fine, but near the end of the day I could fade them a very little bit in a stock TT. Then there are the R4 pads that are competition porterfield pads but are old technology than the Hawk Blues I'm now trying out. (Respected racers from the forum have tried both and all agree that the Hawk blue is superior) Try the Hawk Blues, Mike Kojima of SCC, has been recommending them for a long time for open tracking. As for your brake fluid, try Motul 600, Motul RBF 600 or Neo 615. If you can't find a local race store, chances are that a local motorcycle shop has it. Otherwise order some, it'll make a big difference. Fluid boiling really sucks! Cheers, Have
