I go to the track over and over and over. Take for instance about 3 Pomona races ago, Seedy took pics of all the BPU Supras with their times. I think there were like 6 or more, they all ran low 14's heheheh with pix to prove. The last time at Pomona, the best close to BPU Supra ran a 12.9 (his best ever run). He also had the water spray on the intercoolers and a pretty good driver. I don't know if the Supras you're seeing are tuned perfectly with damn good drivers or what. But take Mike here in So. Cal for instance with his stageII 96 Z also running 12's. Zo, running 13.0 with his auto and StageIII. Me, I suck, only ran a 13.4 @ stageIII with 18" rims. That's just locally and witnessed by me, NOT hear/say. This gets beat to death on the forums and really old. If these BPU's are 400 RWHP, then their power curve must be really peaked with major downcurves. I could care less cause I know what I see and both cars are very comparable as are the RX-7's. At least here in So. Cal. Not in candy land or wherever these people spout off from. The way I see it, if a BPU is properly tuned (requiring a dyno) a Z might need the bigger injectors and tuning also to hang. From talking to the Supra owners locally (cool guys) they say the dyno is kind of a joke cause it's not usable boost that these guys are cranking up for dyno days. Their words NOT MINE. They say sure it looks good, but does nothing at the track. This is from talking to the guy with the red Supra with the water spray system that knows his stuff (you So. Cal guys all know him). I beat BPU's all the time at the track running low 13's, but remember, it's 90's here and we race in the afternoon at Pomona.
