I am still not sure how it happened, I had an amp mounted in teh back hatch and it had a fused power wire at the battery. I was racing my friend and hit some train tracks too hard and something shhok loose. All of a sudden there was horrible acrid smoke all inside the car to the point I had trouble seeing out the windows!!!! PANIC!!! Slam on teh brakes, jump out, open hatch...see around amp smoking like hell, wires glowing orange, etc. Grab my nice custon amp mount and rip the entire thing out! LOL Well, it was not the power cable, it was the RCA cables?! They had gotten so hot they had vaporized the insulation off them the entire length, onlt the metal conductors were left, big trails under the carpet in the back hatch the wires were under. Anyway, car didn't burn up but it smelled like crap for a long time after. Still can't figure out how so much current got pushed thru the RCA cables. Amp still worked fin afterwards and all. Mike
