: Well, I knew parts would be arriving shortly, so if you recall I put Mr. Z up on blocks over the weekend. : : After I took the rims off I noticed how filthy the suspension & wheel wells were; so I busted out with my trusty toothbrush, bottle of Simple Green, and the hose. My suspension is now clean and shiny. (Although it needs to be dressed up a little; I'll do that just prior to vehicle reassembly, I think. : : LOL you know what I thought was funny is that with Mr. Z in the air like that, he looks like he doesn't even NEED wheels. It's actually a pretty cool look. Dig: : : Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads. : /Doc Brown : Aaaaanyway, my parts showed up on Monday. Some of them anyway. I was all happy. : : In that picture you'll note (top to bottom) Red Line MT-90 & 75W-90 gear oil; a new wiring harness. That thing is so purty I got excited just holding it. I should take a close-up picture for you guys. Also, plenum gasket; 2 head gaskets, a detonation sensor, some fuel injector O-rings, and 2 O2 sensors. : Yesterday noonish I went out and began disassembly. I got the plenum off in just under 2 hours. Considering it's only the second time I've done it, and the first time it took me a whole day, I'm pleased with my progress. LOL of course, I removed the EGR system last time and that takes a lot of time to attach / detach. : : I could've done it faster, I think, but of course I was cleaning each and every part, bolt, nut, whatever, as it came off, and then sorting them into piles. (Or baggies, for the smaller parts.) : Pile/baggie 1: Going to the chrome shop : Pile/baggie 2: Going to be powdercoated yellow : Pile/baggie 3: Going to be powdercoated black : Pile/baggie 4: Just gonna be cleaned up nice & left alone. : After that, I just pulled out the fuel rail and popped out the injectors. Then I had to shower & stuff cuz I was supposed to meet my friend and a T-37 IP for dinner... so that's where I stopped for the day. Plenum & fuel rail out: : : Here's the top of Mr. Z's engine gracing my recently-built shelves: : : If I have time today (around studying for finals) I'll try and strip more parts outta Mr. Z. Know what would be perfect timing? If the 555s from the group buy arrived right when I was ready to put the fuel rail back in! That'd kick ass. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

So, which Formula 1 Car are you most like?
