: Until a Z actual runs in the race ... and doesn't break. Very grueling. : Later, We ARE going to try and pull it off. Putting the car where our mouth is. In case you've missed the emails, Glenn Nakata and myself will be entering in the Open Track Challenge this weekend. Basically a West Coast version of the One Lap of America, but with MUCH more track time. Can you say, 4x20min as opposed to ~3 laps? Plus we have to do 7 different track in 7 days as the One Lappers. Personally, I think the One Lap is more of a fun thing, than a serious test of ones driving/car capability. A sleep deprived 7 days of 7 different tracks and only doing ~3 laps at each track? There also isn't a whole lot of competition either. 70 cars, with 5+ catagories to include pickup trucks, economy cars, tahoes, dodge caravans, etc.. Some of the faster interesting classes only having ~4-5 cars.. If you win, or place in the top 3 or even top 5 in your class, it doesn't mean a whole lot. I think a much more fun and better test is the Open Track Challenge. 7 days, 7 different tracks. Plenty of time for sleep, and 4x20min sessions. ~50+ cars. 8 different groups split up by race cars (unlimited), and street cars (touring). Each class has about 7-10 cars of serious folks. No SUV class. No Economy Car class. Hopefully, with Glenn's car, and my driving experience, we are going to do well, suprise a number of competitors, and also last. knock on wood. Everything going on next week. Starting this Sunday. If anybody happens to have some time off from work, or have time in the Las Vegas area during the this Sunday, or the following Saturday, we'd love to have some Z32 guys come on down and visit. I seriously dought anybodies going to come on down to the other tracks during the week. Wish us luck.. Cheers, Lee Darzycki OTC #300 Grey "Glenn Nakata" 300ZX TwinTurbo
