: A friend and I are going to do my clutch within two weeks I think, and we're curious to how far off the ground we have to get my Z. I think my jack stands can go up 18", planning to use them in the rear after I roll my Z up onto my Rhino ramps. : Far enough? : Rob but instead of removing the transmission entirely, just lower it and push it backwards towards the rear end of the car. there's no real need to remove the transmission from under the car. you just need that 1-2 feet of room between the engine and transmission it install the new parts. Damon can do a clutch in about 3-4 hours. With me there helping, he can do it in about 6 hours. The most time consuming part is getting everything out of the way, and of course, the top two bolts. those are a bitch. But with the right tools as outlined in the Tech article, it's not too bad.
