Message The Z does NOT have a harmonic balancer. My understanding is that ALL Japanese cranks are INTERNALLY balanced, therefore they don't need an external balancer on the pulley like Detroit iron does.

In the same conversation that I heard/learned this, it was also mentioned that the specs for bearing fit on crankshaft for Japanese cars can be turned easily with your fingers.

For American, the spec is 15-20 ft.lbs. to turn bearings... quite a difference!

Since our accessory pulley is only a pulley, no balancer, you can put on an aftermarket pulley with no troubles.
