Yeah, you can theorize all day, and that helps a little, but just like an F1 team, at some point you have to put the tires on the track and find out what is real.IF YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT DRAG RACING, then an alum flywheel is *probably* not the right choice, because it will hurt the launch. It "stores" less kinetic energy to be converted into forward motion of the car when the clutch is dropped. Yeah, we all know the car will rev faster with the alum flywheel, but DRAG RACING IS ALL ABOUT THE LAUNCH. If you hurt the launch you will probably be slower. NOTICE THAT I SAID "PROBABLY". Nothing is certain. There's only one way to be sure - race it and find out. Don't believe everything you hear about mods. Go to the track and find out for yourself.
