The only thing that the doctors are doing is taking the nucleus from one cell in the mothers body and trading it with an fertilized egg cell. This is done very routinlely throughout the medical world. The rest of the process takes place completely within the mothers woom. This is in fact more like in-vitro fertilization than cloning.
