Message The most common is the 5spd steptronic auto transmission.
They are great cars, very well built. The best model, if you can afford it, is a 94-96 850CSi, which is the M8 of the 8series. It was tuned by the motorsports division (M-technic) and develops 372 horses.
The cars will last like all other well taken care of bimmers; if it has been taken care of they are very reliable. But if you have specific Q's, go to bimmer.org, or bimmerforums, those are the best places for the details.
Autothoriy and Dinan will become the Stillen and JWT of your bimmer.
