I've yet to get into the "big mods" like turbos and internals, but that hasn't kept me from trying to learn as much as I can for whenever I get to that point. The problem is that I've been reading this forum for years and still don't have a very good understanding of what works best for these cars. I like to think I know Z32s pretty well and will admit there's still a lot to learn. I managed to pull and rebuild my engine, yet I can't seem to be able to put the best recipe together for a reliable high HP motor. It all comes back to the fact, like you said, that the only thing ever spoken of around here are brand names and not tech. Another thing I learned during my rebuild, is that the most knowledgable people aren't that vocal around here. I spoke on the phone at length with a couple a members who knew volumes concerning putting my engine back together. Yet by looking at the posts on the forum you wouldn't even know those people exist. I rarely pass along my knowledge because nobody wants to here about the involved (i.e. correct) way of doing things. They want quick and easy which gets us back to your point again. Maybe we need an Ultra-Tech forum for this type of stuff.
