....I think your opinion of the import world has more to do with what you've seen on this board than anything else. I feel the same as you, but I wouldn't draw too many conclusions about the import world because of things that you see on this board. For instance, I have a Camaro , and I check out the appropriate domestic boards as well, although not as frequently. What do you see on those boards? The same thing - people who aren't buying cams by the specs, instead they are buying the CompCams 306 grind because that's what everyone else has. You don't see as many really knowledgeable gearheads on the boards because those people get worn out with people who don't know jack running off at the mouth when they have zero real experience. So then, the experienced person gives up on the board, seeing it mostly as a place for meaningless babble. For example, and I'm not claiming to be ultra-knowledgeable or anything, but just recently I felt like a butthead when I attacked somebody for drawing conclusions about racing when I feel they don't know a 60ft from a slick. In that particular thread that person judged my knowledge by the number of hits that I have - a new level of ridiculousness. So, in order to not be a butthead, I decided to stay out of the meaningless discussions as much as possible. Unfortunately, that is most of the discussions. Don't get me wrong, this board and others have lots of good information, but you have to search hard for it. So I wouldn't judge the import world by what you see on this board. I suspect that there are plenty of diehard import dudes that are technically proficient, but you won't see them posting on here much. Get my drift?...... RSR
