or even 75 degrees for that matter! lol. : Gateway International, 11:48am and ~45 degrees outside, I got lined up next to a modded Buick Grand National. Thought I was about to get my ass handed to me and I knew the run was being video taped.. I was thinking to myself "great I finally get a run on tape and it will be of me getting my ass whipped by a GN." My first two runs of the day were 12.75@111 and I thought that was as good as I was gonna get, was pretty stoked with that! GN on the left, Z on the right. : -------Left------Right--- : Car#...253-------276..... : R/T....1.109-----.948.... : 60'....1.933-----1.939... : 330....5.420-----5.325... : 1/8....8.338-----8.174... : MPH....84.32-----86.06... : 1000...10.855----10.592.. : 1/4....12.999----12.629.. : MPH....104.68----111.01.. : .........GN--------Z..... : They were running a pro-tree (?) today so my reaction times sucked, not use to the REALLY fast lights. I usually pull a .51-.60 on the normal lights. : Perma-grin set in and I was celebrating in the car after I got the time slip. Gave muhself a good pat on the back :) I was waiting till I got the video from Brian to post but decided to post now after reading all the other race stories (put me in the mood I guess).. I should have the video ready to post later tonight. : It was a great day and I finally learned how to power shift, not much too it just hold your right foot on the gas and slam gears. Gotta say thanks to Gary from the St.Louis Z club who's been beating me up with the theory "Drive it like you stole it dude!" so thanks to his advice I finally gave it a shot, and..well..It worked! Thanks Gar! I still let off the gas from first to second gear but then the brain would kick in and say "stop doing that" so I may be able to improve a little more. Still need to install the pulley I got from got rice a few months back so that should help as well. Going to try to get that done b4 the supra, RX7, Z comp on October 20'th. : Brian from the Z club pulled a 13.135@107 at Stage II!! Intake and ECU only, still has all his cats and was on street tires. All his other runs were 13.5+ so he really did great on that run. He also had his G-tech out there and did a comparison between it and the time slips (5 runs). Looked pretty accurate on the ET but MPH was way off. It was also a flat strip so that probably helped its accuracy. : Was a great day, I got 6 run's in between 10am and 12am which was good enough for me. Took off after that so I could catch the Blues game..and they kicked some butt as well. : Well thats my story.. Video will be posted later tonight when I get it. : Thanks for reading, : John
