Message	its usually not a problem, the ICs are not hot all the time on the street, only when you are pushing a lot of boost. But you gotta watch the size of the IC, if its too thick you may run into cooling issues as the radiator gets starved of air. 3 core (3") is a common street setup, I wouldn't recommend 4 core (4") unless its a 1/4mi drag car...
