what is the definition of rice? If I were to say, it is any real or imagined aftermarket equipment that draws attention to itself. A front fascia or rear wing has to work within the basic lines of the vehicle it's installed on; to become part of a whole. That's what aesthetics are about. When it stands alone (like an F40 style wing on a Prelude), it's rice.
