Message Lets face it - put max performance tires in snow and it doesn't matter what TC you've got. I got stuck on a median because it had a slight incline to it. Got pushed out very quickly by a friend but I don't recommend it. I was working overnight and the storm was way worse than expected.

The TC kept me from going sideways when I was moving however. But if you are driving in the snow, the gas pedal maneuvers should be so light as to make TC not really that important.

What TC is great for is driving full throttle when you shouldn't be and pushing it in the rain. Full throttle runs to 60 are much easier/safer with TC. But in snow, there is no way you should try it even with TC - there is still some slippage and you will go sideways.

So in the end TC is great for pushing the limits and doing it better than you could on your own. If you feel like pushing Max performance tires in the snow then you aren't too bright and TC will not save you. Now if you had real snow tires or even all seasons things might be different. I had a rental car for this last snow storm - TC with all seasons, FWD - that was more fun (plus it was a POS so I didn't have to care about it so much).
