Message There's a number of sites dedicated to the building of the Ultima kits. I just stole a couple pictures from them and the main Ultima site ([ www.ultimasports.co.uk ]). When ultima makes your kit, they can design it for whatever engine you want to use ... I don't know if I'd rather go with some kind of a turbocharger V6 or just a basic, big V8. Chevy V8's can be had for cheap ... even a used LS1 isn't that expensive. The kit is also designed to use a new or used porsche transaxle. Right now, the going price for the entire kit (minus the engine and transaxle) is $21,000. You can buy them fully built, but they cost $98,000. ([ http://www.ultimacars.com/ ]) I would much rather build it on my own ... a hobby to spend as long as I want building it. The only thing that I would definitly want to improve on would be the interior ... the stock interior on this car is rather bleak.

Oh, Car and Driver got a hold of one of these and did a review on it. So if you don't want to take my word on it, here's what they had to say:

Car and Driver Review

Lastly, I managed to find one video of a GTR in action ... I'm don't remember what engine it had in it (they vary a lot). I've seen these with twin turbo V6's (popular in Africa), but most have tuned chevy V8's. Here's the link (it's big ... 17.1MB)

BIG Video

or here's a "smaller" version of the video (9.0MB)

Smaller Big Video

Lastly, more pics for free ...
