Message "Reliability" even though more reliable than many cars out on the road, I would not classify the Z as a "reliable" car. You really gota have a fat bank account to maintain the car... from failing injectors, to leaking power steering hoses, to bad TPS, leaky T-Tops, broken antena, leaky tension rods, hesitation, grinding transmission, bad turbos, fuel smell on hot days, clogged PCV valves, leaky shocks, bad front camber, failing clutch master cylinder... just to mention a few ... not taking into consideration the cost of replacing timing belt, tires ....etc...through the years it has been a nightmare for any person's bank account, and time comsuming to figure out and fix all these problems that every one of us with no exception had to deal with.
Yes I had to fix every problem of the ones I mentioned above(except turbos) and my car is propably one of the cleanest ones out there with low miles ...(I got it with 32K 4 years ago)
So pleeeeeease TAKE OUT the word "reliable" from your write up ... and to everyone: unless to are willing to pay the price and sacrifices don't get a Z....

: THE Z
Many people might refer to me as a car enthusiast or car nut. Not to sound conceited, but I can just about name the make and model of any car that crosses my path, along with the price range and the performance status. Cars have always been a big interest to me; mainly sports cars like Japanese super cars and exotic cars. Sometimes I even scare my mom while we are driving together, a Porsche might surprise me by coming around a corner or pop out unexpectedly and I will quickly and loudly announce ‘Hey, there is a Porsche!’ One of the sports cars I am most appealed to is a Nissan 300ZX. It could be because it has won numerous awards, a total of 12 that I know of and possibly even more. Or it could be how a writer from Automobile Magazine put it; “…[Nissan 300ZXs] might indeed be the best sports cars in the world, for the money. But at any price, Nissan’s new 300ZX is a car to make the opposition sit up and take notice.” Not only am I appealed to a 300ZX from what the media says, but also I think they are awesome in every aspect, from looks to performance to reliability. Either way it goes I have wanted one ever since I first laid eyes on one.
It was a rainy day while my teammates and I were walking the Caverna Classic Cross-Country course my 8th grade year. We came across a stretch in the course where there were some parked cars, and one red car in particular caught my attention. My eyes met up with the headlights as if I just saw Jennifer Love-Hewett pass by. The headlights stared back at me and made me stop right in my tracks, I could not help myself but to just stare back in amazement. It almost appeared like a future car; it had a very timeless, conservative, and sleek look to it. Looked like something NASA produced, almost like a rocket or shuttle, but had a faster and more muscular appearance. The owner could almost wash the whole car with Windex, mainly from the huge hatchback glass and the t-tops. From the tail end it looked fast, but the Twin Turbo badge and the 4 exhaust pipes made it look even faster; even the name ‘300ZX’ sounded fast. I could easily tell it was love at first sight.
Four and a half years later I accomplished my dream and purchased a white Nissan 300ZX and the enjoyment has been all that I have expected it to be and more. I feel like I am in a jet fighter cockpit when driving the Z, little control pods are on both sides of the steering wheel. Looking straight ahead at the gauges I see the tachometer redline is set at 7,000 revolutions per minute and at the last digit on the speedometer is a tempting 160 miles per hour. Even though no one really needs the power, speed, and performance of a sports car, it is always nice to know it is there. It is fun knowing sport car owners can tap on the accelerator and easily go way above the posted speed limit in just a few seconds. Traveling on a windy mountain road is about as thrilling as riding a roller coaster. The 300ZXs looks match the performance perfectly; looking at the Z reminds me of Arnold Schartzanegger flexing. The way I look at it is any car will get from point A to B, but the Z will get me there with a grin on my face, an ear to ear grin.
