Message	in order to be safe with such a large detachable section of the car (the 2 t-tops). it's just how convertibles are heavier than normal cars even though they dont' have the extra weight of the roof. and NO i don't think our car would weigh 250 pounds less without t-tops. if that were true then each t-top would be like 125 pounds =].
