Message Unfortunately, the author completely missed the point, and his opportunity.

1) Don't complain about 'no pizza.' You can starve for all they care.
2) Don't complain about the sound. Remember, everyone is playing through the same, crappy amp. Make the best of it. You're not going to sound any worse than anyone else is.
3) Stealing your material - yeah, maybe, maybe not. Playing music for a living (not part-time, showcase band, semi-pro shit) is a BUSINESS. Think about your day job. Think about how dog-eat-dog it is. Then multiply that by about 100 to get a feel for what the top 100 or so touring bands go through every day. Your fans will drop you like a rock when someone new comes along, your popularity is only as good as your last CD, and your label is only happy if you're #1, and IF you are #1, there's 99 other good acts out there that would be willing to slit your throat to take your spot.
4) Whiners need not apply. If you are worried about regular meals, good sound or having your material stolen, STOP NOW! If you enjoy listening to music, STOP NOW! If you think your music is an art form, STOP NOW! The business will quickly knock any and all of those 'glamourous life' ideas out of your head. I may sound bitter, but I'm not. I'm just explaining the facts of life. I left the music business on good terms. You should hear what the disgruntled ex-pros have to say about it.
