Message I think we all need to drop the drag radial crap. Are these 9/10 second Supra's running street tires? Hell no!( maybe somebody did, any names? ) Why would anybody put a street tire on a 500+rwhp car? You only be killing yourself and launch is everything. Why use traction control? When all that's doing is stalling the motor from putting out full power to the wheels. If Zo put slicks on his car, then we too today could say 10's stock internals, that easy ( AND 5 SPEED, AS WELL ). I mean his car is only one of the many out there, that have the power and can make it happen. He's got a stock full block pushing 600rwhp. When you see these Supra's running higher numbers here's why. The stay with stock internals but slip in new racing cams for more high end power from that big ass single turbo that a lot of them seem to go with. So is a CAM now considered a bolt on? I think not. So sure, why not everyone follow suit and throw in some JUN,JWT, etc., cams.

It's just getting real old about everyone thinking one is better then the other. When that us not the case. One is proven not the other is really what it comes down too. Then everyone starts in on price of parts etc. Last I checked Z has two of everything, where Supra's can go single turbo (that one ), full exhaust is (ONE ) pipe and so on. Supra retail is like 10k over Z's per year. So looking at it like that, your already 10k ahead.

There easy to work on and bolt on's are just about everything under the sun. That is why you see what you do. You really have to have a passion for the Z to go all the way like that. Plus your going to run out of room at some point in the Z32 motor compartment. From a V-motor being used in such a small space. But we can deal with it.

To make a name for yourself, it takes money, bottom line. Shits not cheap and like we all know. Where buying TWO turbo's, not ONE. So you know why the price is what it is on just about everything you do, from BOV's, to full exhaust ( TWO ), to intercoolers, Heads, two Pop chargers all the IC, turbo piping and so on. Plus have you seen the price of Dual Turbo kits for them, like say 2835's, that's like 9K. So yea why go that route when a T-78 or T-88 is less then 4k for the kit. That's more power from those single turbo kits then the TD05/ 16g will put out at a cost to us of $1500 more.

So in a nut shell, I think we need to quite bitch'n about them and start looking at ourselves. From birth, these cars are the same. Same displacement, damn near same weight, 1/4 times (stock ) etc.

A Ten second Z :

Dual Pops $550
555cc's or bigger $1000
ECU w upgrades $650
Turbo kit ( 2530, 650's, TD05 etc. ) $3500 - $4500
Full exhaust Turbo's back ( depending maker ) $1200 - $2200
Boost controller $450avg.
Intercoolers $900 - $2000
HKS or MSD ignition system $450 - $600
MT slicks 275's/285's rear on light rims on all four corners $1000 - (depends on rims)

Plus all your +'s :

one piece drive line $350 - $900
RPS Stg III clutch $450
Radiator w/ AL lower pipe $400 - $600
AL flywheel $450

Want to make is easier on you parts:

NA rear diff $400 avg.
NOS spool kit $1000 avg.

So add that up and learn to drive it and you too can live your life a 1/4 mile at a time and have a 10 second car.

For Auto's add this:

Level 10 tranny ( check price )
5k stall converter ( check price )

Oh yea, you gotta be able to drive to............

STAGE V++++
Going to XIII and beyond :)
