Message	technician. Maybe HIS head gasket blow immediately after replacement, but that not necessarily the norm. My dad and I just rebuilt my engine and after 6000 miles it's fine. I didn't have to rebuild the heads but did a lot of bottom end work and only spent around $1800. That included a bunch of parts that weren't directly associated with the engine. Like O2 sensors and various hoses and other sensors. Get a second opinion.
