Message I went to the store picked up some mags.

The point was to look for some new technology for our aging cars. I mean when was something new done for our cars? Especially in the US? I mean nobody really has a replacement throttle body upgrade. We still all used stock plenums with possibly honed and port matched. We still stuck using the same old expensive injectors. The relatively mild CAMS, and etc.

So anyways I start going thru 5.0 Mustang Magazine and I start looking at all the different product lines available for a Mustang I am thinking cool they got some good support no surprise there. But what really gets me is the prices

Here are some examples
Set of 8 50lb injectors $199
High Flow Fuel Rails $149
Adjustable Rear control arms $229
Cat back exhaust system $399
Cams $149! *I am want some CAMS!*
Rods, Pistons, and Rings $599
Stroker Kits $899
Custom made billet heads with springs, valves, and etc $795 *I want some heads (no pun intended)*
Racing Radiators $249

Complete replacement intake manifold Upper and Lower. $395
Only expensive thing was Super Chargers at $2500 for one.

You can even get a new block for $495

Well after my initial shock I came the realization that still just a Mustang :-) And the real purpose of getting these mags to find vendors who maybe interested in developing parts of ours small market which is really the reason for our high prices and low availability of selection not forget that our car is in import.

I am going to be trying to get vendors to produce some replacement throttle bodies, intake manifolds, cranks, and etc. I figure whats there to loose if they so no we are not interested fine if they say "hmmm. we always wanted to do something like that" then great, maybe we can get some more selection and ofcourse I hope better pricing on stuff. Hopefully I won't have to hold my breath to long :-) *blue already*

I figured we needed to get back to thinking about our cars and performance and not just beckering, and having hissy fits on the forum, and I also hoping to gauge some interested if i were to find some companies to produce products for our cars.
