I hope a lawyer can take care of it..i just wont be able to handle the insurance anymore. I'm already paying about 300 something because all my older brothers have gotton in so many accidents that my dad's insurance is sky high for me. How much are lawyer fees for something like this? : : I just want to start out by telling all the people at the DC ECZA Z meet that I had a great time and we should do it again. : : now on to the story:
: : I was driving home and my friends in another car next to me. So just wants to see how the exhaust sounds when I'm pushing it..so I rev the engine and the light turns green. I'm not used to my new clutch what so ever so I my back tires spin JUST A LITTLE and I take off. I hit 55 (45 zone) then I just slowed down and the next thing I know theres a cop behind me pulling me and my friend over. He charges me for a reckless for I guess racing or something (doesnt say reason on the ticket..just says reckless)....I wasnt even racing my friend....he was driving an old saturn for god sakes. he tells me he can take me to jail for racing and doesnt really tell me why he is giving me a reckless, I think he said for spining out my tires and the fast pickup at the light. : : Now I'm only 17 (18 in dec.) with my second offense (right of way ticket last november). I took a bunch of classes for it and all but do you all think they will take my license away for something cus its my second offense and im under 18? God I hope not...I can't live without my Z :( : : BTW- he lectured me about my exhaust being illegal (greddy sp), my headlights being too bright, my car being too low to the ground(its not even droped)!! : Contact GReddy and they will mail you a certificate stating that their catback exhaust is 50 state legal and abides by the noise limit. : The lights and suspension is nothing but bullshit to bust your chops. When you supply the extra info about the exhaust, lights, suspension to the judge, it might be obvious that the officer is dicking you around, so he may throw it out. As far as the reckless driving, let a lawyer take care of that part.
