Message How could it not be faster than our current Z in stock form and faster than the other Nissan line (US that is). By the way...as of now the magic number is around 3180/3190lbs. Here's part of what I wrote in my SportZ Magazine article:

"From there the next logical step is weight. Again, we have no hard numbers to quote, but there has long been talk of a number somewhere between 3,100-3,200lbs. With just those two statistics right there, it would already out-accelerate the most powerful Z to date, the 90-96 300ZX Twin Turbo. If you throw in other such factors as the close-ratio 6-speed transmission, increased low-end torque and the fact that the new Z will have no turbo lag to deal with, you should have no problem visualizing a demon on four wheels."

There's even more to it as proof...but that should suffice. The car SHOULD perform well. But of course, there is more to a car than that...
