master cylinder is the cast metal thing that the brake lines attach to. Brake booster, or vacuum booster, is the big black thing that the master cylinder mounts to. From your post it sounded like you were re-attaching the master cylinder to the booster, and one of the two(?) bolts that mount it snapped. Is that right? You *should*(I think, this is w/o me looking at the car) be able to have enough clearance to drill the required pilot hole down into the snapped bolt to get an extractor into the bolt. You turn the extractor counterclockwise, and its reverse threads dig into the snapped bolt and back it out. Mike
