I forgot that the stock PCV valves have springs in them though. I just went to discount auto parts and bought a bunch of hose and two PCV valves. The valves I bought dont have springs in them, although, they aren't necessary. In fact, these without springs will actually perform better than the Nissan PCV's because there wont be a spring to overcome, which will limit the flow of gases. The exhaust pulses create quite a bit of vacuum. When I had my fenders off a while back, I put my finger over the intake of the aiv box to feel the pulses. You can definately feel them with your finger. The system design I discussed doesn't require a lot of vacuum because there is very little restriction through the crankcase. You dont need a lot of flow either, but this setup definately offers more flow and more flow all of the time. : enough to open the PCV valves and draw air out of the crankcase? just wondering.. other than that - i agree entirely, the pcv setup does suck..
