Message I believe I got all your attention :-)
Looking at the pics for GD's X and my B&B's X, I start to think of all the praise people have for the X over H.
Say, Stealin's X, 2 2.5" (5" total flowing capacity) pipings meet at the X and shrink down to about 3" of flowing and exhaust gas gets balanced at the X, then continuing flowing to the mufflers. At the point of X and after, Don't you really get 3" flowing out of the entire exhaust system?

GD'S X, 5" of flowing gas squeezes thru the 4" X, balances, and then exit. Don't you just get 4" of flowing at the end?

Now, on H, exhaust gas flows thru 2 2.5" pipes "all the way" to the mufflers without going thru any shrinking piping, execpt there is a balance tube to balance the pressure. Yet the H pipe still provides full 5" flowing and the exhaust gas' velocity to the mufflers doesn't get as much disturbed/reduced as it would when the gas in 2 pipes meet at the narrower X section.

I may be way off at the last part, the flow dynamic, but I believe you get more flow out of H than X. However, I don't know how the X takes the advantage on flow dynamic to outperform H at lower and higher end like some said.

Experts fill up here, please :-)
Off to bed!

Erick

Oh, I like the supporting bins and the wider mounting holes for adjustment! The X looks good!
