i talked to gab at HKS today about the 2530 and the 2540 turbos. the 2540's dont use the same compessor housing as the 2530's do. the 2540's that hks offers in america wont fit on the z. at least not for the amount of money that is realistic. but, the 2540's from a kit offered in japan will almost bolt right in. almost. with the proper port work on the manifold, heads and a really good free flowing exhaust these will spool only a few hundred rpm more the the 2530's. the price is high, real high for these turbos so for some one who wants a daily driver go with the 2530's. a guy with 2530's put down 509 hp on a stock engine at our shop. he did not have any fuel control besides the jwt ecu. he is coming back today(now that its after midnight and i am still typing on the internet like a highschool kid) to tune his car with afc and some other stuff he has done since mid nov. i will post the results later today after we are done. and BTW he drives his car everyday he can.its like 15 degrees here in ohio. and its supposesto snow , alot today and tomorrow. it looks like the 2530's are a pretty good setup.
