Well....at the Famoso track event I had the luanch control working....for a few runs after finally getting sa chance to set it up. BUT right before i left....it went dead :-( Im happy to say...after contacting Bernie and informing him the ECU portion of the system was dead (only the red light was on...and you could rotate the dial and make it miss....checked all my wiring ETC ECT) he had RL send me a new unit which arrived today. SO of course....i went out to the garage and plugged it in. WAAAALLLLAAAA it worked :-) Its good to know your right when it come to problems with an awesome unit like this. Strange that it went bad.....they said it has never happened so i would NOT worry about it if your thinking of buying. IN FACT! ITS friggin AWESOME. So I got it working.....i had to drive about 80 miles tonight....on the way home....it was time to play. SO i dialed in 20% slip (cuz im a crazy mofo) and took off from a red light turning left. Turned the boost up to 25 PSI and NAILED the gas. It was cool.....boost came in around the middle of the corner....car made power and as I was waiting for the rear to go (its COLD out....not much 1st gear traction right now at night) she tracked straight and pulled HARD throught he corner....tires would slip some and you would hear the power cut....but it would not affect the speed in which you were going through the corner...in fact obviously i would go FASTER due to the better traction the unit provided me. AWESOME feeling to nail it around a corner like that. It still drifted nice too cuz I was in 20% slip mode. Totally predictable...a 4yr old can drive my z now LOL! So i decided to see what 5% felt like....not ANY wheel spin. It was so cool.....again i repeated the lefty corner....if you dont have it GET IT! Its way so worth it. So then i set the luanch control to 4500 RPMS....revs just sit there....WOT i built about 3 PSI BUT as soon as you luanch the boost comes right in. It was amazing...it left so hard it took my breath away and I saw stars. Repeated this a few more times and went home. Cant wait to get the full throttle shift going....as well as some fine tuning (drag radials and power of the car through the stock settings off a bit). ANyway....get one if you have a TT! Ill be doing more testing tomorrow :-) And why not!
