Message Assuming what you said is true...'it will have the same stopping distance'...then stock rotor equiped car and these 12.5 rotor equiped car will have the same number of revolution of wheel before stopping.

Now, on the 12.5 rotor car, the clamping force is the same is as stock one. But on the bigger rotor, because the radias is bigger, therefore for each revolution of wheel, more area is swept by the same pad. More heat is generated, because pad travels longer distance per rev. This extra energy is transfer from kenetic energy which is used to reduce the speed of the car.

Therefore your statement can not be true. Thus, this rotor must improve braking power.
