Message I live in so-cal and I'd like to go to one of the driver's schools they hold at Buttonwillow. After spending a lot of money on other fixes for my '93 TT I simply have no $ for even better pads, rotora and ss lines right now.

Is the fade so bad after a couple hard laps that you'll be flying off the track because you have no brakes at all? Or is it manageable - slow your pace down a little and let them cool, then start driving hard again?

I've never had my TT on the track before but when I had my Supra TT I went to Buttonwillow once and didn't experience any fade. But running around the track hard with other cars I can see how serious fade could be a dangerous problem. If I have to wait another 6 months to save up for a brake upgrade before I go to the track then so be it. But if I can manage the stock brakes by taking it relatively easy on the track then I'd like to do that.

It's hard to judge how bad the Z's fade is because I live in a very crowded part of L.A. so I really never have the chance to drive it hard enough to fade the brakes. Any thoughts?
