Message was kept by the factory as a prototype. One guy in some Europeon country bought 2 because he didn't like the idea of spending 30+ minutes to remove the top. So one keeps the top on, and one keeps the top off. I believe only 50 or 55 made it to the U.S., but not 100% positive about that.

As for the Porsche questions:

What was the name of the 1st car Ferdinade Porsche made and massed produced?

For mass production:
Volkswagen (Car for the people)

Where did he get funding to produce this car?

Nazi Party (I believe)

What dictator did he build an aliance with?
Hitler

What was the name of his sons?

Ferdinand, wolfgang, Peter, and something that starts with a G, Gerd or something.

Daughter Lucy(?) Piech, as of the Piech family, the family that owns VW/Audi, hence the tie between the two families, by a marriage.

Which of his sons was in charge of styling, until later "overthrown"?

Not sure, maybe Peter? I remember hearing about the story, just not which one.

Who was responsible for the 911?

Ferry

Who was responsible for the 356?

Ferry

Who, now is in charge of Porsche?

Not sure, someone from the actual Porsche family still I believe, with outside help from an independent Japenese production firm. Hence the more "mass produced likeness" of the Boxter and 996.

Can you name all the 900 series cars?

Here it goes:

901 (actually the original name for the 911, but Fiat(or was it Alfa, ah, who knows) had a current ownership on all 3 digit car designation numbers with a 0 in the middle, such as 901 if they ever chose to use it, so it was renamed a 911, hence all of the 901 part numbers on early cars, such as a 901 gearbox).

How much HP is the Cayenne supposed to put out?

don't know, it is still a shock Porsche is making a SUV.

Why doesn't Porsche race F1 anymore?

The F1 car doesn't closely enough resemble a production car like for example a GT3. Also, the most given presently reason was that the engineers have been spending all of their time developing the Cayenne. Of course they were spending time designing and developing the new Carrera GT supercar also, but they never mentioned that. Economically, they cannot afford to spend on a F1 team when they don't see too much money being made from it. For right now at least.

How many F50's were produced? And why did they choose this #( what significance does this # have)?
350 produced, 349 sold to 348 owners, I believe 50 or 55 in the U.S. not sure about the signifigance of the production number.

Can you name Ferrari's next "supercar"?

I have heard the the next car will be named, well the F60 or course. It will come standard with the F1 style paddle shifters like those that are optional in the 360 Modena currently using the hydro-neumatic(sp?) clutch setup. Unlike the F50 which was equiped with the trickey (for the inexperienced) gated shifter only.

Well how did I do?

Hopefully I didn't get anything dead wrong or miss any important numbers such as a 9xx or I won't be able to show my face at work tomorrow (Porsche race shop). Especially if we happen to have a 9xx sitting around.
