: Everyone with more car knowledge than a peanut knows that Z28s dyno 310 - 315 rwhp and are only rated at 305 crank. So they only loose 5-10hp through the drivetrain? That's amazing! :Thats enough to hand even a modded 3500lb 300zxTT it's ass on a plate. How much does the F-body weigh now a day? I bet the advantage is only a couple hundred pounds tops. They aren't an RX-7... :I have seen dozens of Z28s run 12.9x stock, never seen a 300zx come close to that. There's a reason for that. The Z is designed with anti-squat geometry, so weight transfer sucks & limits traction off the line. Granted a stock Z probably can't do 12.9s without some sort of traction enhancement.. but maybe on slicks it could. I dunno. I do know that my car spins in 1st, 2nd & 3rd & my trapspeed is 114.6MPH on street tires. If I could get some traction I'd be doing alright. not bad for a Stage III. Also I have seen tons of modified Z28s get their ass beat by me. I've got timeslips to prove it. They might have the advantage off the line, but by 3rd gear & by the 330', all they have is taillights. Ask wesman, he had to laugh at the track last time we went. Everyone in the stands was saying I was going to get my ass whipped my some hopped up Z28. Didn't happen, the guy even stopped after the race while I was weighing my car to ask WTF I had in it. Oh, I found the timeslip in my desk drawer: 11:36pm 14/APR/2000

:Don't tell me they don't handle either. I know a guy with a lingenfelter 383 LT1 in his 00' WS6 that smashes 355s and 911 turbos at the track with only a few thousand in suspension mods. If I had a few thousand in suspension mods to a stock Z I could stomp most anything too. 911 turbos etc aren't that swoopy at the track either when you compare stock apples to modified oranges... unless there's 1 key ingredient, A *good* driver. :Don't get me wrong, I love Z32s, they just ain't in the same class. I'll agree to that. I'd have to say the driver is going to be the key player in most any competition when comparing stock apples to stock oranges.
