Message optimization play a huge part. you are on the assumption that the technology is rock solid and all the games will utilize the superior performance capabilities. It is the same as saying I am driving a mclaren on the interstate therefore I am the fastest car here. But if im not flooring it im not going faster than anybody else right, even though my car is superior? Thats the thing, if they get game programmers to use all that power, and assuming it all works, then they should have no problem. I mean its microsoft, they are all about efficient, stable, and fast software. You have to look at price as well, when the ps2 gets cheap and everybody starts getting one will the xbox be able to compete in a price war? At least there is good competition out there for consumers and we should see some good games
