You stated >>> . Heavier cars can grip harder in a corner and exit with a higher speed, but smaller cars can enter more quickly and take a slightly tighter line. This is why I believe the Rx7 and TTZ are almost equals on the race track, as the RX7 has more nimbleness, but the TTZ has better balance in turn and stability and it is well endowed with the power which makes it quicker in stock form. <<<< LOL, you are joking with that one right ?
A) Heavier cars are in every single way inferior when it comes to handling and road racing. Weight is the race cars' worst enemy. Less acceleration, less braking performance with more fade, harder on the tires, and slow to round a corner are all symptoms of a heavier car...which the Z is MUCH heavier than a RX7. (3500lbs vs. 2800lbs) B) The RX7 also has perfect 50/50 weight distribution thanks to its mid-front rotory engine which only weights 79 pounds. The Z is nose heavy by comparison (inducing "push" a front engined cars' enemy), the supra worst still in this regard. ....have you every seen 7's at the race track (road courses) ?? They are VERY dominant there. A ZTT or Supra needs a good amount of suspension work are bigger wheel/tires to come close to an even slightly modded RX7 on a road course.
