I go way back with CF and its material properties are fantastic. Being lightweight and incredibly strong, it was a material of choice in some very specialized things I was involved in way back when... Granted, some weave of CF looks pretty neat, but seeing it used purely for cosmetic purposes just makes me chuckle.
Wood has been a material of choice since man ever though to build something. Not much has changed in the way of "wood trim" for eons. Granted, I would never make a plenum cover out of wood mainly because it wouldn't hold up to the heat very well, but I wouldn't go space age on it either. :) Just a personal opinion... 'tis all.
: Just teasin' ya Ash, but if you don't think that his CF looks sweet, you're insane.
