: on 95+ TTs... what are you boosting right now, stock? I was told 95+ TTs stock boost is 7-9PSI, but I know earlier TTs stock boost was 9-11PSI. Stock boost has always been in the 8.5-9.5PSI range. The car shouldn't be running 11PSI stock. If it is, it's an assembly line abheration (sp?) : BTW, I was told that the improved resolution of the 16bit ECU, improved spray pattern of the injectors, etc made gains in the torque and hp curve for the 95+ TTs. I was just comparing the dynos of DamonZ's 95TT vs. Karl's 93TT on TTZD.com, both stage 3 w/ UD pulley and gutted cats, and it looks like the 95 has a broader peak torque plateau and better torque and hp in the 1.5-3.5krpm region. Plus, I am not sure if DamonZ gutted his precats or advanced his timing, so the 95TT may actually be making quite a bit more peak hp with the same mods. Could that explain the lower stock boost on 95+ TTs? Any thoughts? My precats are gutted, but timing is at 15. I think I still had my main cats for that first Stage III chart. My car pulled like 303rwhp with just intake & ECU.. stage II. So I always attributed it to just being a strong car off the assembly line with low-low miles (10k at that first dyno). My car is on the 8bit ECU & always has been since I owned it. The 16bit didn't exist & the car has been stage II since 5 days past purchase, so all I can attibute it to might be the lower intake shape & the spray pattern on the later models.
