now assuming equal mass air flow and pressure, it is still dependant on the application as to which one is "better". The supercharger will gain on the bottom end because it is belt driven and does not need exhaust pressures to build up. The turbo will win on the top end because it does not have a parasitic pulley to rob power. Therefore, which one is better depends on the application. On a truck (or a jeep...), that is used to haul loads or for 4 wheeling, a supercharger is better. On a sports car run at high rpms with a close ratio tranny, the turbo wins.
