In Reply To Can you run 720s and high boost safely AND as a DD? posted by Playboy on October 26, 2001 at 01:05 AM

Message : Now, for my 90 I'd have to get a custom fuel rail and port to have that possible, would that be a good idea? I mean I know that generally speaking the stock lower end can handle about 600rwhp.

: If theoritically, I wanted to dyno high above 550rw, can i do it with 555s or not? (I think I might be cutting it close). If not, would the next step be the custom & 720s?

: And finally, with 720s can it be used as a DD with sparingly used HIGH boost (say 19->24) SAFELY?

You are only going to use that kind of hp when you are racing. If you have a boost controller you might find that turning it down just a tad will make dd'ing a bit safer.

Just as a reference point for you, I personally spoke to the owner of the fastest street legal Z in Japan. Kanazawa-san from Escort Racing, 850rwhp. He says that he drives his Z 3-4 times per week.
