Message Back in the days of the Japanese Supercars, 91-95 period, of all the car magazines, Car & Driver typically posted the quickest times. Perhaps because of different testing methods.

Take 0-60mph for example. The published RANGE of times for the 90+ 300ZX TT was actually 5.0s to 6.0s. And of that range, C&D was at the bottom, typically quoting low 5's.

The published RANGE for 1/4 mile was something like 13.7s to 14.6s (for proof, go look at the Performance Data at [ www.zhome.com ]). Again C&D was towards the quicker side of that range.

Take for example the article called "Turbo Tea Party" back in 92 or 93, they clocked a TTZ at 5.0-5.1s. 1/4 mile was sub 14's.

5.0s is too unrealisticly quick, and 6.0s is too slow. I consider the average 5.5s to be typical. :-)

Coincidentally, when my TTZ was still stock three years ago, with my G-Tech Pro I only managed a 6.0s and 14.6s respectively. D'oh!!! Slow-ass end of the range. LOL
