Message The NA can only take about 4psi before detonation. You'll make good power at 4psi on that CR, probably around 350 if I remember the SC NA dyno's a while back. Problem is, you can go any higher. You get more bang for the buck (HP per PSI) but you top out at 350HP. The TT can go much higher, but there is a point where you will detonate and can no longer go up in boost for the same reason as the NA. If you further lower the CR (say to 8.0:1) you will be able to go even higher on the boost (and will need to to make more power than at 8.5:1), but you will not detonate at the same HP output. You will be able to go higher in boost and make more power. But as with everything else, there is a tradeoff. Because you are running such a low CR, if you aren't boosting, the car will be a dog. It will take longer to build the power. But as soon as you start to build boost, it will be faster because you are burning more fuel.
