no idea why so many abuse them. I think the low resale(or reasonable resale cost) belies the repair costs on a Z. A lot of people seem to be able to buy them, but cannot afford to do real upkeep and quality repairs when needed. I also think the lack of good craftsman in the auto industry does not help. Just look at the repair shops and body shops around your area. If like a lot of areas they mostly run them in and out fast. No attention to detail or quality anymore. Sad fact is cars now cannot be maintained by average owner. Cars are more technical and most kids these days know little about cars. They buy them and drive them. Plus who has the money for all the special tools and equipment to do proper work on a Z. Not like rebuilding a 69 camaro. Hand tools and rented hoist was all you needed. But with fuel injection, ecu's and all the other stuff, it is above most of us to do it and do it right.
