Message When you order the upgraded ECU, they send you the upgraded one, and charge you an extra $500 as a deposit. You don't need to send yours to them until you have swapped ECUs in your car. Thus, there is no down time.

I tried for a long time to buy just the EPROM, and I found out a couple of things: (1) they are VERY hard to come by, because JWT won't sell the EPROM (chip) individually. You have to get it used from somebody that pulled it from their car. (2) Even if you do find an EPROM used, it will cost almost as much as a used ECU. I only found one or two, and they both wanted about $350 for the EPROM. I just ended up swapping my whole ECU for a JWT ECU with another tt.net member for $375, so the EPROMs are spendy if you get them.

I understand where you are coming from. I tried for a long time to just buy the EPROM so I could save money and do it myself. Your best bet is to buy one from Coz or GR?, or buy a used one from a tt.net member. However, to answer your question, there is no downtime when you buy an ECU from JWT. They will ship one to you for you to install, and then they credit your $500 deposit when you return yours. As far as shipping costs, I'm not sure how you would do that, unless you swapped with someone else in the UK. Good luck.

Why, yes, my rear wheels are on backwards! Thank you for noticing!
