Message	i wouldnt think you would lose hp, but you probably wouldnt gain much either. assuming the JWT or K&N style intake: the air is coming in from below and would circulate around to the intake just below the panel. the air is being pressurized some in that compartment. if you open up some holes in the panel, that would stand to release pressure, except that you still have all the air pressure from the outside of the panel which is probably the same or greater than that below the panel. sound logical?
