: I've been watching a lot of TV and researching on the internet about Osama. The initial impact of the trajeties we have suffered strike up thoughts of retaliation: find the bastard and kill him and his network associates. But if you take a closer look into what prompted Osama (or anyone for that matter) to do something like this must be a pretty serious reason. A lot of the things I have come across have shown how the US's involvement around the world has put a lot of innocent people in their graves, people like our americans in the WTC. To us, on the inside, we see what other americans put up on TV and their views are taken as being the "fact of the matter." But if you dig deeper and take a look for yourself, you find very unsettling things that the US govt has done offshore that the media doesn't report on, or very few people know about. The thing is, the US govt. does a lot of things out there we dont hear about and it seems to me that we (citizens) think that the US's involvement out there (anywhere other than our country) is to promote Democracy in rational reasonable methods. This is not the case and what happened last tuesday is simply a retaliation prompted by the oppression the US govt. has laid out on these other countries. Osama is simply one man that represents a lot of peoples' ideas. He is considered to us a terrorist, to a lot of others, a hero with an effective agenda. : Please dont get bent out of shape and think that I am condoning what happened last tuesday. I think it was an unnecessary act by whoever is responsible. But they have their reasons, that is all I am saying to you. Hopefully what has happened will open some peoples' eyes and they look for themselves at what we are doing as a nation out there in the world. :
