I came home from school yesterday and realized that I couldn't see my flagpole from the street.
The pole in questionI ran around to the yard and found that the joint between the first and second sections had come apart. Fortunately the top part was caught by a bush in the yard and the flag never touched the ground. Providence looking out for me... I bought some more hardware at the store and will fix it stronger this afternoon. 8-)

PhutD: I heard this real asshole on the radio today talking about the homeless. "They should either be put in prison.. or put into a mental hospital so that.. a) they get the care they need.. and b), and most importantly, we get our streets clean!"
JaimeZX: What if we gave them brooms and they could clean up and have a "tip" bucket? That'd kill two birds with one stone.
